Announcement: This Year’s Prize Collection for the 25th Annual Colored Gem Show

This Thursday – Saturday, November 2nd – 4th, we’re inviting you to experience the world of color! Straight from a fifth-generation cutting house in Idar-Oberstein, Germany, a collection of colored gemstones rivaling those in museums around the world is on its way to historic Downtown Wheaton.

Showing so much more than emeralds, diamonds and rubies – a demonstration of an entire spectrum of stones, our Colored Gem Show is a highly-anticipated event for gemstone and fine-jewelry enthusiasts. Those who attend the show annually know the breadth and beauty of the collection and can attest to what a captivating experience it is.

 

As is tradition, guests at the gem show can enter to win one of three gorgeous pieces from our collection. This year’s collection includes:

First Prize
A stunning 14Kt white gold tourmaline and diamond pendant. This pear shape tourmaline is set in a full bezel, weighs 1.06ct with excellent cut and deep teal-green color. There is one bezel set round brilliant cut accent diamond weighing .04ct. The pendant hangs on a diamond cut white gold chain.

Second Prize
This gorgeous 14Kt rose gold ring features one oval checkerboard cut amethyst set in double prongs. This amethyst is surrounded in a half bezel of round brilliant cut diamonds with a total weight of .06ct. The profile of the ring has an intricate “tulip” design.
VALUE: $825.00

 

Third Prize
A beautiful pair of princess cut blue topaz earrings. These blue topaz are set in a classic 14Kt white gold four prong mounting and have excellent cut and London Blue color.
